Expelliarmus

Yesterday Matthew came in with the end of William's light saber and pointed it at me and said "EXPELLIARMUS!" He is a FUNNY kid! With the end of the Harry Potter era coming to an end this week, I have been very excited and talking about it, so the boys have picked up on my excitement!!

What are those?

At William's baptism on Saturday Matthew was sitting with me and he was being really annoying and loud then he looks at my chest and says, "What are those?' pointing to my boobs. I say,"They are boobs, only mommies have them and they are private, you don't touch." Then he says, "I want boobs."

Scarf

I have a chicken pock scar right above my right eye by my eyebrow. Yesterday Matthew was climbing all over me and suddenly stopped and looked at my face and said, "Mommy, what is that?" poking my scar.
Me: "A scar."
Matthew: "Oh a scarf?"
Me:"No a scar."
Matthew: "No its a scarf!"
Me: "You're silly!"
Matthew: "I know!"
Then this morning he told me to bend over so he could look at my scarf. Then he said, "mom, does your scarf hurt?"

Whiny

Matthew has been really whiny tonight.  So he said some funny things tonight...
Matty: "My bones are missing."
Me: "Where did they go?"
Matty: "I don't know they are too squishy."
Me: "Honey, your bones are not missing or squishy."
Matty: "Yes they are."

Then he was rolling around on the floor.
Me: "Matthew, what is wrong?"
Matthew:"My head hurts, I think my brain is on fire."

The HILARIOUS things my boys said while in Disneyland...

My sister's boyfriend has a tattoo that takes up most of the lower part of one of his legs, when Matthew saw it the following conversation happened:
Matthew: "What is that Austin?"
Austin: "Its pen."
William: "Oh, it will probably wash off when we go swimming in the pool."
Austin: "No its special pen that you have to get lasered off."
Hailey: "I'm the one that drew on him, I did a good job, do you want me to draw on your leg Matty?"
Me: "But its a special pen that makes you bleed."
Matthew: "Oh okay Nee Nee, draw on my leg."

Hailey came to our room, and Matthew said, "Where Austin go? He go home?" Anytime he couldn't immediately see Austin he would ask where he went.

William and Andy were walking with each other and Will said: "Why do we have to wear socks with our shoes."
Andy: "You have to wear socks so your feet don't stink."
William: "Feet are supposed to stink!"
Andy said a lady behind them was cracking up!

Hailey was talking about taking drinks to Disneyland and Matthew said, "Sprite makes you think."

We went to dinner at the end of our first night and Matthew was sitting by me and he took one bite of his mini corndogs, said he was all done and then the next thing I noticed was that he was asleep on my arm.
The second night we watched the World of Color show, both boys LOVED it, but about half way through I looked around to see where Matthew was, and he was sleeping in the stroller.

There is a huge ferris wheel in California Adventure that has Mickey on it, they have cages that move and some that don't, we decided to be adventurous and ride the moving one, I think it was a bad idea.  William was sitting by Hailey and they were on the side that they could see out of the wheel as opposed to where Andy and I were and could see the inside of the wheel. Hailey kept screaming and laughing and William started crying.  We traded spots and I could see why they were scared.  Matthew keeps talking about "Mickey's Fun Wheel" and how it was so scary.

Then William said, "Is everything at Disneyland meant to scare you?"

We were leaving the park and there are buses that take people to the different parking lots and there was a bus with Toy Story characters all over it and Matthew said, "I want my own bus, a Toy Story one!"

While waiting for World of Color to start William said, "I'm going to invent a stroller that can turn into a bench."

William got picked to do Jedi training, he decided he wanted to make his own light saber as his Disneyland souvenir. Then he said, "We should get light sabers for everyone in the family, even a mini one for Andrew so we can all battle each other."

When we got back to the hotel one night William said, "My feet can only work one hour a day."

William also got a Mickey Mouse watch and he kept telling all of us what time it was,  then when we were waiting for fireworks he said, "I'm going to invent a watch that glows."
Me: "They already have those."
Will: "Well mine will have a button that makes it glow."
Me: "They already have those."
Will: "Well my button will be glowy."

Matthew asked Will if his brain was broken and Will said no my brain is big, huge even.

On the way home we got beef jerky and Matthew ate some and said, "My brain turned on fire through my mouth!"

Lucy hugged me

Tonight we had family home evening and we talked about blessings. Everyone had to say what blessings we had received today,  so Matthew said that Lucy hugged him and it made him happy! Lucy is Abby's little sister, Abby may have some competition for Matthew.... hee hee.

I just wanna stay in the ban

Today we went to my grandma's and Matthew got upset and said "I just wanna stay in the ban (van) all by myself." I made him come in, and he said to my grandma, "I wanna sit in the ban, I don't want to play here." It was kinda sad, but also kinda funny.....

Does it run?

Today while we were doing yardwork Andy asked Matthew if he wanted to go get a drink with him and fill up the car. Matthew said "Oh, is the car thirsty?"
Tonight on the way home from Grandma's house Andy turned on "Kings of Leon" and turned it up and Matthew said, "Alright, rock and roll!"
Tonight William said the prayer and he blessed the new van that it would run well. Matthew replies, "Does the ban (van) run?" 

I'll be the King

Matthew's best friend lives across the street, her name is Abbigail.

Because Matthew's best friend is a girl, he will oblige to being the daddy, son, prince, king, Ken, whatever Abby wants him to be he will be, as long as its a boy.  While he is in no way a Princess Boy, he doesn't mind playing the "girly" games.  Abby had her Tangled birthday party today and they have been acting out Tangled A LOT lately. So Matty has been playing the part of Flynn Rider, and today Abby got all the dolls and of course Matthew wanted to play with Flynn Rider and kept saying, "I'll be the King!"

Matthew and his quirks

As soon as he gets home, no matter what he is wearing he will change and put on "comfy" shorts. Either pajama shorts or his gym shorts.

Also as soon as he gets home he takes off his socks and shoes.

He has to line up his cars before he starts to play with them.

He gets all freaked out whenever the baby gets within 5 inches of him.

He loves to play the computer, he can log me off and click on the boys' profile, because he knows he can get online and play his games by only pushing M or N, yep he's a SMARTY!

Pink Sprite

Matthew calls anything that is cherry flavored, pink sprite.  I got some Cherry 7-Up and he keeps asking for "Pink Sprite".

Happy Balemtimes Day!!

Matthew was SO excited to write out his Valentine's cards for his friends at pre-school, and great news, he can write his name!!!! He says balentimes instead of Valentine's, its SO cute.  He had to go to the doctor last Friday and the pediatrician let him get a prize for him and William, and he came back with a heart on a key chain and said "Happy Balentimes Day, Mom."

"Ah Come On"

Whenever Matthew asks for something and I say no, he will say "Ah come on, mom, come on", already trying to sweeten mom up so he can get his way, this boy seriously melts my heart!

"Light Bulb"

Whenever Matthew wants to watch Despicable Me he says "Light Bulb" but it sounds more like "Yight Bub", we LOVE that movie, so funny and cute.

Toy Story 10

Matthew kept saying that he wanted to watch Toy Story 10, and he was referring to the first Toy Story, we couldn't figure out why and then I was putting the disc in the DVD player and noticed that it says on the disc "Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition" and that was why he kept saying Toy Story 10, because that is what it says right on the disc!! He's so smart!

"Ah that's better"

Matthew will say "Ah that's better" and he says it at the right time, whenever he gets in the shower, or climbs up on my lap, or lays down on a pillow, its SO cute!!
